No surprises for Inter, big emotions at Anfield.

Bayern Munich and Inter Milan will play each other in one of the quarterfinals of the Champions League, following the Bavarians’ victory in the German derby on the field of Bayer Leverkusen. Unsurprising result, given the result of the first leg, a different matter for what happened at Anfield: PSG eliminated Liverpool on penalties, with Gigio Donnarumma on the shields.

There were few shocks at the BayArena, where Bayer Leverkusen was called to the difficult task of recovering the 0-3 lost in the first leg in Munich. Nothing to do forò for the hosts, forced moreover to give up after 38 minutes to Mario Hermoso: right shoulder injury for the former Roma man. Oscar Piastri and McLaren will continue their road together for a long time to come. The Australian driver was bound to the Woking team until the end of the 2026 championship, but his own stable announced on Tuesday that it had further extended the agreement with its bearer with a “multi-year” contract, although not specifying precisely the duration.
