Carlos Sainz forced to say goodbye to Dakar

It’s already over the Dakar 2025 adventure of Carlos Sainz, who was forced to retire after the third stage. This was announced by the Spaniard himself, a four-time winner of the legendary race that did not smile on him this year.
“I don't have good news – said the papà of the now former Ferrari driver – Today, after managing to bring the car to the finish line, as you saw in very bad condition, we completed the stage. However, after further inspection, they found that the roll bar was slightly bent in one spot”.
“È something very easy to repair, and the team would have had no problem fixing it and making the car safe enough to continue the rally, but unfortunately the FIA regulations do not allow that, so we are forced to withdraw from the rally”.
“One canò imagine the disappointment and frustration of already being on our way home a few days before the start of the race, but racing is like thatì. In any case, both Mitch (Guthrie) and Mattias (Ekstrom) are still in the race; I hope they can fight for the win and move on. For us è it is a pity that we cannot continue to support them and gain more experience with the car.
