NBA, New York no longer stands still: nine wins in a row

Great performance by Towns: 31 points, 21 rebounds
New York is on a roll and has no intention of stopping its ride. The Knicks also got rid of the Jazz (119-103), taking home their 24th win of the season (10 losses. Without Brunson, it was Towns who made the difference on the court, putting up an impressive 31 points and 21 rebounds.
Nice win for Washington: 125-107 the final. For the Wizards it was the sixth win of a season, at the moment, decidedly negative. Excellent performance by Poole who finishes with 30 points. Detroit also smiles, imposing itself on Orlando 105-96. Excellent performance by Cunningham with 19 points, nine assists and eight rebounds on the bench.
Nets fall, soundly beaten by Raptors (130-113, 33 points by Barnes). Miami wins, which rules New Orleans (119-108) thanks to an excellent performance by Herro (32 points on the scoreboard). Still without All Star Doncic, Dallas loses, badly, to Houston (110-99 the final). Sengun shines with 23 points and also six recovered balls.
Important success of Denver, which gets the better of the delicate challenge with Atlanta (139-120 the final result). Decisive was the third period, won by the Nuggets with a bombastic 41 to 24. For a change, triple double for Jokic: 23 points, 17 rebounds and 15 assists. Finally, Sacramento’s fine win against Philadelphia (113-107).

Contestation in Milan: “Go to work” and “Yankee go home”
Milan challenged: “Go to work”.
In spite of winning the Italian Super Cup, it certainly cannot be considered positive Milan’s year.
The Rossoneri fans, disappointed with the’progress of the season, staged a hard protest at the Meazza match with Monza that closed the championship of the two Lombardy teams.
No banners displayed and choruses leaving little room for the’imagination: “To work, go to work”, “Are you leaving or not?” and “Yankee go home” among them. Hailed Paolo Maldini with an ad hoc chorus. After the vigorous protest, the Milan fans blatantly abandoned their seats in the stands, leaving a vast and visible hole in the heart of the Curva Sud.
Very few biancorossi fans also showed up for the ’appointment at the ‘Scala del Calcio’: Alessandro Nesta’s team, long since relegated to Serie B, will play in well other stages next season, most likely with another coach on the bench.

Monaco GP, Ferrari: Lewis Hamilton penalized on grid

Penalty for Lewis Hamilton, who will start not in fourth position but from the seventh box after being penalized by stewards for impeding Max Verstappen in Q1.
On the second row, in place of the Englishman will be the Dutchman alongside the McLaren of world leader Oscar Piastri. Up front will be the other McLaren of Lando Norris, who took pole position, and the other Ferrari of Charles Leclerc.

Playoffs, Milan wins game-4 with Trento and goes to semifinals
At the Assago Forum, EA7 Emporio Armani Milano beat Dolomiti Energia Trentino 89-82 in game 4 of the playoff quarterfinals and qualifies for the semifinals where it awaits the winner between Virtus Segafredo Bologna and Umana Reyer Venezia.
After a sprint start by the hosts (5-0), the guests turned things around at 20-12 but ended the first quarter ahead only 22-20. Olimpia, however, at the beginning of the second quarter posts a 14-3 partial, the lead then increases to +13 with which the first half ends: 48-35.
After the long intermission, in the third quarter Trento slowly recovers and even gets to overtake at 64-63 when only the last ten minutes are left. First part of the last quarter point and with 60 seconds to go the score is 85-82 for Milan but a dunk by Leandro Bolmaro and a support by Shavon Shields give the Italian champions the semifinal.
The Italian champions are in the semifinals.
For Ettore Messina’s team a monstrous Shields finished with 27 points (5 of 7 from three), Bolmaro with 17, Nikola Mirotic and Armoni Brooks 14, for Paolo Galbiati’s team 19 by Jordan Ford and 16 by Anthony Lamb.
