Jannik Sinner: Barbara Schett doesn’t mince words and takes sides

Jannik Sinner&#39s three-month suspension has provoked the most disparate reactions within the tennis world: among them came that of Barbara Schett, former Austrian tennis player and current Eurosport anchor and commentator. Schett in an interview with Kicker commented thus on the plea bargain between Azure and the Anti-Doping Agency: “It’s come early, initially it was said that the decision would be made in April. I find the wording interesting, a bit peculiar”.

“WADA said he did not è intentionally doped and was disqualified anyway. È a bit; confused, but the three months are still good for him, because heé will be able to return to play in Rome”.

“I personally believe Jannik’s story,” Schett explained. “What I would also like to say è that just becauseé you know someone and you like them doesn’t mean they are innocent. But I really think it was a mistake on the part of his physical therapist. And Jannik now has to face the consequences”.

The FIA&#39s latest stunt: at least two pit stops at Monte Carlo

The first session of the FIA Council of 2025 with the members of the WSMC was held today by videoconference and the most important decision that was made concerns the Monaco Grand Prix at the Monte Carlo circuit.

È in fact, it has been decided that yes each driver will have to make at least two pit stops over the entire race. Not only that, each will have to use all three compounds available for that weekend.

All with the usual, cloying justification that is given every time these “innovations” are introduced: to increase the spectacle during the race.

According to the FIA then, in a race where it è very difficult to overtake, if not impossible (at least for today’s cars), pit stops would liven it up. We’ll see if it really will be soè.

Lewis Hamilton is enjoying his debut day in the pre-season tests at the wheel of the new Ferrari, in which, turning in the morning, he achieved the 12th fastest time overall. Here are the words of the British seven-time world champion.

“Testing is always interesting: for the first time you can see what the different teams have developed and you can start to get familiar with the single-seater and the year ahead. Being here with Scuderia Ferrari HP and getting into the SF-25 here è an incredible feeling”.

“Our program is to try different things, collect as much data as possible and get familiar with the car, and today we have already learned a lot. È it is too early to really understand the absolute values, but everything seems to be going right, and as a team we are working on the best way to optimize each run down the track. There’è still a lot to do over the next few days to complete our program and understand the car to the best of our ability, and I’m looking forward to getting back on track”.
