Marc Marquez goes fast: Pecco Bagnaia doesn’t get scared

Pecco Bagnaia analyzed positively the three-day test in Sepang ahead of the start of the MotoGp World Championship: the Piedmontese rider signed the second overall time in the tests, but è was slower than teammate Marc Marquez during the Sprint race simulation held on the final day. The Catalan rider è seemed fit and comfortable on the bike, but Pecco is not scared.

“It was three very intense days becauseé we had so many things to try, we still managed to try them all, so è it was very positive. To be able to do that we had to do the two simulations between me and Marc with two different configurations, just to give as much data as possible and we are understanding more things” are the words after the tests taken by Formulapassion.

“Having two different configurations, rightly so becauseé we had to give data, he I saw that è was very fast, è was very constant, I unfortunately because of a vibration I had to slow down lap after lap a little more’, but all this helps us to move forward”, continued the two-time MotoGp world champion,

Bagnaia confirms that the decision on the engine is not è yet arrived: “The new engine for how’è born at the level of delivery would push us to choose it, forò we still have to make our evaluations in Thailand, where the level of grip è moreù low. The GP24 has a fantastic base, which works perfectly. The 2025 engine seems to have a lot of potential, but we still have to figure out so many things”.

Joshua Zirkzee, season over: first year at United to forget

Published

on

Joshua Zirkzee’s first season in a Manchester United shirt is ending in the worst way. The Dutch striker, who arrived from Bologna last summer for more than 40 million euros, suffered a serious hamstring injury in his left knee during the last Premier League match against Newcastle. Confirming the news was coach Ruben Amorim himself in his pre-Europa League press conference, “Zirkzee will not be available for the rest of the season. He has to think about recovery and preparing for next year.”

A real mockery for the talented youngster, who was experiencing a positive moment in terms of personal growth, despite an overall complicated season for the Red Devils. Zirkzee thus ends his first year at Old Trafford with 7 goals and 3 assists in 48 total appearances, a haul perhaps lower than expected, but still indicative of a player who was finding space and confidence.

Manchester United’s season, punctuated by injuries and fluctuating performances, might only find a small light in the eventual Europa League victory. But the loss of Zirkzee at this crucial moment represents yet another tile on an already very complicated year for Amorim.

Ahead of the summer, the former Bologna man’s future remains to be written. The English club is already planning to intervene in the market again to reinforce the offensive department. And while it seems difficult to think of an immediate transfer of Zirkzee after only one year, it is not excluded that one between him and Højlund could leave Old Trafford. The return to the field, in any case, will not come until next season.
