The words of Fabio Quartararo after the 11th time on Day-2 of the Sepang test

.

Another productive day for Yamaha at the Sepang International Circuit where the first official MotoGP tests of the 2024 season are underway.Fabio Quartararo and Alex Rins finished the second day of testing in 11th and 13th place, respectively. The French centaur set his best time of 1:57.888, while the Spaniard ended his best lap in 1:58.110. In addition, during the combined, the 2021 world champion è turned out to be the best in terms of top speed, however, to the team official channels, he preferred to dwell on the aspects still to be improved.

“Today we are first in terms of top speed, but that was not our goal. The bike è fast, but we still have to improve a lot on the time-attack. We are finding small improvements, but nothing exceptional. We need to find a solution, especially on the rear grip, where I think we still lose too much to our opponents. Hopefully, we can make more progress tomorrow and in the tests in Qatar” these are the words of Fabio Quartararo to the official channels of the Yamaha team.

“We are quite satisfied with the results obtained. We focused a little more on the electronics, trying to improve the things we tried yesterday. I also tested some different swingarms and we worked on tuning. In general, I put some miles on the bike and was able to understand the M1 better, so I can try to find a better set-up to adapt the bike to my riding style. The engine that Fabio tried in Valencia and that they brought here works pretty well, so, we will definitely start the season with that” this, instead, the thought of Alex Rins.
