Trent puts Matt Mooney in charge

Strike at the helm for Trento. The HCL company, in fact, has made official the arrival of Matt Mooney, through an official statement: “Dolomiti Energia Basket Trentino announces that it has reached an agreement until the end of the 2023-24 season with U.S. combo-guard Matt Mooney”.
Born in Wauconda, Illinois on Feb. 7, 1995, Mooney è a versatile player who makes his defensive impact and outside shooting his best weapons: 191 centimeters for 88 kilograms, Matt began his playing career with a brilliant experience in the NCAA at South Dakota (two years at an average of over 18 points) before moving on to the prestigious University of Texas Tech, where in the 2018-19 season è splendid protagonist of the Red Raiders’ ride to their first national final (for Mooney 11.3 points and 3.3 assists average, and inclusion in the best defensive quintet of the conference).
After “tasting” the NBA with the jerseys of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the New York Knicks, franchises with which he finds space in the G-League, Matt at 29 years of age not yet turned canò already boast a good experience in Europe between Spain and Turkey, where he played for important teams such as Malaga, Besiktas and Darussafaka. In his first part of the 2023-24 season, he averaged 12.0 points with 3.2 assists in the Turkish league where he defended the colors of Samsunspor.
“We are really happy to be able to add to the roster a player with Matt’s technical and human qualities – said coach Paolo Galbiati – we think his arrival can help the team on both sides of the court, with his defensive pride and his skills on offense. He has important experience at the college level and in European basketball: we thank the club for closing this deal, we welcome Mooney to Trento and we look forward to having him with us in the gym and on the court”.

Sofia Goggia è is ready to get back on track after her long injury layoff. The Bergamo-born skier è flew to Las Vegas to watch the Formula 1 Grand Prix live, but her thoughts are on her return to the World Cup. At the microphones of Sky l’Azzurra announced her intention to return to the track on the weekend of December 14/15, at the Beaver Creek races.
“I will come back; in Beaver Creek, now the foot è the last of my thoughts. I feel very good physically, at the beginning I struggled to get into gear but already I have been doing good things these days”.
A downhill and a super giant are scheduled for that weekend. Sofia Goggia could find herself on the track with friend Lindsey Vonn, ready to compete again after 6 years.
