Banda is answered by an own goal by Rafia: 1-1 between Empoli and Lecce
Empoli-Lecce 1-1
The first of the two Monday postponements of the 15th day of Serie A ends in a draw. Empoli and Lecce, in fact, split the stakes, drawing 1-1. Everything happens in the second half: to the initial advantage of the Salentini with Banda, spoiled by a clear error of Berisha, answered by an unlucky own goal of Rafia.
In the first half the guests immediately made themselves dangerous with a header by Pongracic that engaged Berisha. The reaction of the hosts was not long in coming: on 15′, on the development of a corner, Cancellieri soared higher than all but did not find the goal. Five minutes later, Piccoli turns a Dorgu cross with first intention but his conclusion ends wide. The same Giallorossi striker a few minutes later receives in the box, turns and kicks suddenly but does not frame the mirror. On 28′ Cambiaghi breaks free from Dorgu but slams it past Falcone. In the final, the Azzurri lost both Caputo and Bereszynski to injury.
Early in the second half the Tuscans came close to taking the lead with Cancellieri but Falcone saved with his foot. Five minutes later the Lecce goalkeeper overcame a right-footed shot from the edge by Grassi. At 64′ the Salentini took the lead with a shot from the distance by Banda, which slipped out of Berisha’s hands, went under his legs and into the net. Seven minutes later Empoli found the equalizer with an unfortunate own goal by Rafia, who deflected a cross from Cambiaghi’s right, mocking Falcone. The Tuscans, galvanized by the equalizer, pushed in search of the double, but Falcone è insuperable: first he saves on Cambiaghi, then deflects a Luperto volleyed right-footed shot into the corner.
Empoli climbs to 12 points and remains in 17th place, while Lecce moves up to 17, in 13th place.

US Open, Alexander Zverev also out: Jannik Sinner thanks.
All-U.S. semifinal at US Open
Another big man exits the tournament. After the various Alcaraz and Djokovic, Zverev è is also no longer in the running at the US Open. The German è was beaten by Fritz in four sets (7-6 (2) 3-6 6-4 7-6), at the end of a match that è lasted almost three and a half hours. A defeat that leaves a lot of bitterness in Zverev’s mouth. The German was aiming to reach at least the final.
A feat for the American who, dragged by the home crowd, won the first semifinal of a Slam event. After winning the first set on tie-break, Fritz suffered the return of Zverev, who took home the second partial with a peremptory 6-3. The momentum seemed to be in the German’s hands but Fritz escaped on 3-0. Zverev recovers but gives up at the più beautiful. Spectacular fourth set. Zverev tries everything but, once again, the tie-break costs him dearly. He loses it 7-3 and says goodbye to the tournament.
Dreams big for Fritz who, in the semifinals, will face the other American Tiafoe who, in the quarterfinals, wins the match with Dimitrov, forced to retire in the fourth set due to a physical problem: 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, 4-1 the partials in favor of Tiafoe.
The United States dreams, after 21 years (Roddick, 2003), of an American winning the U.S. Open. In the meantime, it enjoys Sinner who, thanks to Zverev è’s knockout; increasingly serene in his comfortable position as world No. 1.
