Mika Hakkinen’s words.

Mika Hakkinen spoke about modern Formula 1 to sport1.de: “In general, it is very difficult for young drivers nowadays.”

“Before, in my time, there was a lot more testing, and drivers had time to develop technically in cooperation with the team. There are practically no more tests, you just sit in the simulator and are judged by that. It is very difficult for young drivers to show that they are making progress and becoming really good. You have to put all the different aspects together first. When I joined McLaren, the team gave me the time I needed to be able to grow. Today you have to succeed on the first try, otherwise you’re out.”

During an episode of the podcast “High Performance,” Aston Martin driver Fernando Alonso, on the other hand, wanted to look back on his journey in F1, also revealing some regrets in his career.

“If I went back in time, I would definitely change something. Winning a title with Ferrari would probably be the first thing I would choose. In 2010 and 2012 we were within a few laps of winning, and that might have changed the story of some things a little bit. I was definitely sorry to miss those opportunities. However, all this is difficult to change because it depends on many people, the other teams and the performance of the cars,” the Spanish driver began.

“I know I’m in the final part of my career and in a few years I won’t be driving anymore. But when I look back I will see many good things, good friendships and incredible experiences. Maybe I wouldn’t change anything at the team level, just the way I experienced certain moments. I would try to enjoy all those good moments a little bit more and I would like to have more memories to carry with me,” added the Aston Martin driver.

“Now I look the happiest when I get on the podium. Yet I still couldn’t win, I was third and twice second. I am happy with these results because I can enjoy these moments more. I think in your 20s you see life in a completely different way than in your 40s,” Fernando Alonso commented.

Fiorentina, Palladino: “Inexplicable departure”

Fiorentina coach Raffaele Palladino spoke after the 3-3 draw with Puskas Akademia in the Conference League. “It was a bad start, you have to be realistic. It was an inexplicable start, leaving down 2-0 and also mentally and technically. We made technical mistakes that I don&#39t even see in practice, we were good at staying in the race”.

The Viola overturned the result in the second half: “In the second half I è liked the team attitude, I è liked the team spirit but we conceded goals on set pieces, there is no way to take a goal like thatì. You have to analyze what we did well and what there’è to improve”.

Kean found the goal: “I don&#39t think it&#39s a matter of a single player, those who è entered gave a strong push to the team. I would like to see some of this attitude from everyone, which I did not see today. I will know how to speak to the team, è it is my job and I will have to analyze this thing”.
