Alessio Zerbin finds space on another A

team.

Roberto D’Aversa’s Empoli, which has collected 19 points in the first 17 days of the top league, is also considering players from Napoli to boost the team in the January market.

According to several media reports, the Tuscan club has expressed interest in Alessio Zerbin, who among the Neapolitans, under Antonio Conte, is finding little space and therefore è destined for a new loan.

Last January, the former Frosinone offensive midfielder was transferred to Monza, but in Brianza, also accomplice to the downturn of Palladino’s team in the second half of the season, he failed to express his potential.

The Biancorossi, who have just changed technical guidance with Bocchetti replacing Nesta, would gladly re-embrace the class of 1999 but Empoli seems to be ahead.

Zunico’s opinion

Giacomo Zunico has a deep knowledge of the derbies between Cosenza and Catanzaro. Born in Casoria, è he was one of Italy’s best goalkeepers between the ’80s and ’90s, and his career è closely linked to the Rossoblù and Giallorossi colors. The two teams will face each other again on Dec. 26 at the “San Vito-Marulla” stadium.

With the Wolves, Zunico played six seasons in Serie B, coming close to promotion to Serie A, and also served as coach in Serie D. With the Eagles, however, he played for three years, also winning a Serie C championship.

Interviewed by Corriere della Calabria, he also had his say on the Silani’s market. “Alvini has worked well despite the difficulties – he said -. Perhaps some fans challenge him not to demand reinforcements to the company, some more important player who can lift the situation. Maybe he thinks that with his way of playing he can do well anyway. I wish him well, forò I believe that something more is needed for this Cosenza. A role striker who can score goals canò give serenityà to the team”.

“I read, però in recent days that in view of the upcoming repair market the Wolves are likely to remain with the same staff. If thatì were the case, I see it hard for the achievement of salvation” concluded Zunico.

These events are part of “Opening Week”, which precedes the first Slam of the’year and includes, in addition to qualifying for the main draw, charity matches that will feature top players, including Sinner himself.

Addio a Pascal Hervé

On Christmas Day, at the age of 60, Pascal Hervé passed away. A stage winner at the Giro d’Italia and the pink jersey in 1996, the French cyclist had begun his professional career in 1994 with the Festina team.

He quickly made a name for himself as a climber, earning respect for his ability to compete with the best of the era. Among his major successes is precisely the victory in the sixth stage of the 1996 Giro d’Italia, during which he also wore the leadership symbol, keeping it for’only one day.

The French cyclists’ union (Uncp) broke the news. The cause of death was not specified, but last September Hervé had disclosed that he underwent complex surgery in mid-year to cope with a stomach tumor.
