Alessia Orro, smile and pursuit of perfection
Alessia Orro happy and perfectionist
Alessia Orro, at the end of Numia Vero Volley Milano’s painful but nevertheless victorious match over Bisonte Firenze, spoke to Sportal.it. “We like to suffer -she admitted -: we knew that Florence is a very strong team that is putting all the teams in the league in trouble, and we also knew that they would not come to Monza to have a walkover. Forò in the end we put something extra and won, but to be honest I never feared defeat”.
“I am very happy that there were so many people this evening even though they were playing Serie A soccer,” she added satisfied; “the arenas are always full and this makes us proud, because we know that in Paris we did something that gave a great boost to volleyball and brought many new fans”.
The Sardinian star è in search of perfection and does not make big discounts, despite the fact that she has already put an extraordinary trophy in her trophy case: “It’ true that after the gold at the Olympics I take certain mistakes with more philosophy, but there are still some that make me angry with myself: I have to improve, becauseé certain mistakes I cannot afford, even if I forget them at the next ball”.

Women’s volleyball: Conegliano crushing, Vero Volleyball ok in tie-break
Women’s volleyball, Conegliano’s run continues
Imoco Conegliano continues its run in the top women’s volleyball league: the reigning Italian and European champions beat Megavolley of Vallefoglia 3-0 (25-19, 25-19, 25-12) to move up to 18 points in the standings, with only one set lost in the first six matches of the season to testify to the Venetian team’s dominance.
In second place is confirmed, albeit with difficulty, Vero Volley Milan: still without Paola Egonu, the Lombardy team defeated 3-2 (25-16, 23-25, 21-25, 25-20, 15-13) Azzurra Volley Firenze, thus climbing to 14 points and distancing Scandicci (victorious by three sets to zero, with partials of 25-18, 25-21, 25-13, against Talmassons) and Novara, capable of defeating Cuneo 3-1 in the Piedmont derby.
Postive night for UYBA’s Busto Arsizio, victorious away against Chieri 3-0 (25-22, 25-23, 25-23), and for Volley Bergamo’s girls, who won over Roma Volley Club 3-1 (25-18, 25-21, 19-25, 25-18). For the Bustesi è the second consecutive success, the Bergamo girls, on the other hand, returned to winning ways after two knockouts.
So this is the standings of the Women’s Series A1 championship: Conegliano 18; Milan 14; Scandicci and Novara 12; Chieri, Vallefoglia and Bergamo 9; Florence 7; Busto Arsizio and Pinerolo 6; Roma and Talmassons 3; Perugia 2; Cuneo 1. Some teams played an extra game: these are Conegliano, Milan, Chieri and Perugia.

Milan Skriniar tempted by return to Italy in January
Juventus probes the ground for Milan Skriniar
Milan Skriniar had said goodbye to Italy in the summer of 2023, after his contract with Inter expired, eager to start another experience at Paris Saint-Germain: the fifteen months in France, however, have been disappointing so far that, according to reports from ‘Calciomercato.com’ the Slovak is reportedly considering a resounding return to Italy, but not to Inter.
For Skriniar, in fact, Juventus, which has every intention of reinforcing the defense at the first useful opportunity (the January market, in this sense) given the serious injury that will keep Bremer out until the end of the season, would be moving. The operation is not expected to be simple, but it could go through given Skriniar’s poor employment in Luis Enrique’s court.
Born in 1995, Skriniar took his first steps as a footballer in the youth ranks of Ziar nad Hronom, the club of his hometown, before completing his trafila at Zilina, with which he also played until 2016 among the seniors, with a parenthesis at ViOn Zlate Moravce, before landing in Italy at Sampdoria.
With the Blucerchiati he played the 2016/2017 season, with performances that convinced Inter to invest in him for the next six years.
In the Nerazzurri, Skriniar won a Scudetto, two Italian Cups and two Italian Super Cups, playing in and losing the Europa League finals in 2020 and Champions League finals in 2023, his last game as a Nerazzurri (seen entirely from the bench) before flying to Paris.

Simone Inzaghi peremptory about chasing Napoli
Simone Inzaghi applauds his team and talks about the race for first place
After the ‘crazy’ 4-4 draw against Juventus on Sunday night, Inter savored the taste of victory again in Empoli, beating the home team with a clear 3-0 thanks to Frattesi’s brace and Lautaro Martinez’s goal. Simone Inzaghi, to the microphones of ‘Dazn’ said he is aware of the importance of these three points, while not wanting to think too much about Napoli in the lead.
“This victory,” said the Nerazzurri coach, “is not è an answer to anyone but ourselves, because something didn't add up after the game we played on Sunday. We had deserved to win with Juventus but we didn’t make it, today it was important to come back and win. Conte’s Napoli? We have to manage our forces and think only about us, we will do the math moreù ahead”.
Also seen on the green rectangle, from 81’81;, was Tomas Palacios, an Argentine defender who arrived at the close of the summer market from Talleres de Cordoba (he was playing on loan, però at Independiente Rivadavia), for the first time this season: “He is working a lot and very well – Inzaghi said of him. He is learning quickly from his teammates, he will know how to carve out an important role”.
Inevitable then a thought about Lautaro Martinez, scoring for the fourth time this season (for him also a goal in the Champions League): “A guy like him è always the solution, never the problem, even when he doesn't score – said the Piacenza coach -. A striker lives by moments, I kept him on the field because I wanted him to redeem himself by scoring a goal, and he succeeded”.
