Eddie Jordan lashes out at Red Bull and puts himself in Christian Horner’s shoes
Eddie Jordan doesn’t go easy on Red Bull
During an episode of the podcast “Formula for Success”, former team principal Eddie Jordan bluntly analyzed Red Bull's moment of difficulty, which saw Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez not go beyond sixth and eighth place in the Monza GP. The Irish manager, in addition, did not è even spared himself against the team principal of the Austrian stable Christian Horner.
“The situation in Red Bull now è catastrophic. Christian Horner has a huge job to do. We all criticized Perez, but maybe the problem is not è him but the speed of the car. What Max can do, he does precisely because è è he good. Without any doubt è the best driver in F1 right now and I think finishing fifth or sixth is killing him” began the Irish manager.
“If I were Christian Horner and the Red Bull bosses the first thing I would do would be to analyze the facts. I would bring all the engineers into the meeting room for a constructive discussion about the situation the team is experiencing. I would try to understand what setup was working at the beginning of the season, what setup was making us dominate all the races and I would ask to see the updates becauseè è it is clear that they are not working in the right way” added the former team principal.
“Red Bull is trying to rely on a wind tunnel, which byè is giving the wrong results. I wouldn't make any more changes on the car until the engineers are able to assure me of novelties that will improve the performance of the car” Eddie Jordan commented.

Colbey Ross says thank you to Michael Arcieri
Colbey Ross says thank you to Michael Arcieri
Colbey Ross, new point guard for Pallacanestro Trieste, granted an interview to ‘Il Piccolo’: “This is my fourth year as a professional, and my third experience in Italy after Varese and Tortona. I fell in love with basketball right away, since I was three or four years old and my mom attachedò a basketball hoop for me and my brother in the basement I never stopped playing. My career for now è has been very good, I continue to grow, learn and improve as a person and as a player; I enjoy life and my job as a basketball player which continues to entertain me every year. As for my expectations I take everything one day at a time, try to improve and win”.
So he explained the choice to land in Trieste: “Becauseé I know itè a great basketball city with passionate fans, and a beautiful city; with so many opportunities” and attractions. The main reason forè è GM Michael Arcieri, whom I know from my Varese days: that experience è was great for me, I share his vision as far as the company is concerned, and also for me as a player. When he called me I had no doubts, I immediately accepted. My goal è always improve day by day, certainly we have ambitions as a team but the only way to achieve them è working hard one step at a time”.
“I am settling in really well,‖ continued the U.S. point guard.
The confirmed guys have helped me a lot both on and off the court, for any questions I am always available. I live downtown, I have everything I need at my fingertips and the location è fantastic. I have been here for two or three weeks now and I was immediately comfortable with the people and with the pace of life in Trieste in general”.
“In my opinion we have great potential, Michael è managed to bring together talented players and a good coach like Jamion; we have to put our trust in them and put aside any selfishness in favor of the team. I do not feel like saying that we will win cups or championships, but I know that we are a talented team that likes to play together and work hard, so I am confident that we can be successful” concluded Ross.

Martina Trevisan flies to the quarters in Guadalajara
Martina Trevisan-Renata Zarazua 6-4 6-3
Martina Trevisan flies to the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 in Guadalajara, Mexico, being played on the concrete courts of the Panamerican Tennis Center. The Italian overcame in two sets the hostess Renata Zarazua, number 85 in the world rankings, with a final score of 6-4 6-3 after two hours of play.
In the first set to get off to a better start è Zarazua, who took away Trevisan’s serve in the seventh game, at the second useful opportunity (4-3). The Mexican’s lead, however, was short-lived: the Italian signed the immediate counter-break (4-4) and strung together three consecutive games, taking the first partial (6-4).
The Tuscan’s winning streak continued in the second set with Martina flying to 4-0. The hostess tries to get back into the match by twice snatching the serve from Trevisan, who però, at 5-3 and serve, closes the score at the third match point.
Trevisan thus advances to the quarterfinals of the ‘Guadalajara Open Akron’ where she will face Australian Olivia Gadecki, number 82 in the WTA ranking, who eliminated second seed Danielle Collins, defeated with a double 6-3.

Filippo Volandri proud of his people. And reassures on Arnaldi
The words of Filippo Volandri after the success over Brazil
.
Italy captain Filippo Volandri analyzed in a press conference the success over Brazil (2-1) on the first day of the Davis Cup group stage: “The goal today was to win and we succeeded. I am happy, proud of my players. I think we deserved to win the doubles as well, but Davis giveth and Davis taketh away”.
In the first match Matteo Berrettini defeated Joao Fonseca: “Matteo played a perfect first set, in the second we expected Fonseca to raise the level, as è happened. I think it was good for Matteo to be on the court a little more, to feel that thrill of the tie-break. He was good to come back from 0-4. He is missing some match, but he is fine”.
Next, Matteo Arnaldi beat Thiago Monteiro: “Arnaldi had a very good match. In my opinion there’s been a drop-off when he è went to serve for the match. I have to give kudos to Monteiro, who did a super performance on serve and with his forehand. Then è obviously players are seen in the most important moments and Matteo è was more of a player, as Berrettini è was compared to Fonseca, a guy who will play” very well”.
The Italian captain reassured about the physical condition of the Ligurian, who felt a pain in his ankle in the final: “Arnaldi’s ankle è ok, è just tired since the match è was very long. Fortunately, we have a day off and will be ready for the next match”.
