Genoa-Monza 2-3

It’s a seesaw of emotions the challenge between Genoa and Monza valid for the 28th day of Serie A. The Brianzoli, after ending the first half ahead by two goals, suffered the comeback of the hosts in the second half. In the final, però, the biancorossi manage to find the goal of the 2-3 conquering Marassi and redeeming the heavy knockout with Roma of the previous round.

The’beginning of the match for Genoa è to shudder as Monza managed to place a deadly one-two within ten minutes. At 8’ Colpani backs up for Pessina who from a good position puts the Brianzoli ahead. At 18’ came the doubling goal with Dany Mota, who in a half-tight backhand passed Martinez again. A few minutes later, the guests also go close to the third goal with Colpani, whose shot on the turn is printed on the crossbar.

In the resumption, Genoa returned from the locker room with more confidence and at 52’ won a penalty kick for Pablo Mar&igrave&’s hand foul; from the penalty spot came Gudmundsson who was hypnotized by Di Gregorio, but on the rebound the Icelandic è was the quickest to pounce and score the 1-2 goal. The red-blù’s forcing was repaid, as at 68’ the equalizing goal also arrived: Vitinha, after a personal action, let off a precise left-footed shot from the edge of the area that beat the blue extreme defender.

In the best moment of the hosts, forò comes the blow, asé Monza manages to take the lead again at 79’: Valentin Carboni concludes towards the goal finding a good response of Martinez, but on the rebound Maldini ventures that seals the goal of the definitive 2-3.

Thanks to this success, the Brianzoli move up to 10th place in the standings with 39 points, while Genoa remains stuck at 33. On the next day, Monza will host Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari, while the Grifone will face Massimiliano Allegri’s Juventus away.

All-U.S. semifinal at US Open

Another big man exits the tournament. After the various Alcaraz and Djokovic, Zverev è is also no longer in the running at the US Open. The German è was beaten by Fritz in four sets (7-6 (2) 3-6 6-4 7-6), at the end of a match that è lasted almost three and a half hours. A defeat that leaves a lot of bitterness in Zverev’s mouth. The German was aiming to reach at least the final.

A feat for the American who, dragged by the home crowd, won the first semifinal of a Slam event. After winning the first set on tie-break, Fritz suffered the return of Zverev, who took home the second partial with a peremptory 6-3. The momentum seemed to be in the German’s hands but Fritz escaped on 3-0. Zverev recovers but gives up at the più beautiful. Spectacular fourth set. Zverev tries everything but, once again, the tie-break costs him dearly. He loses it 7-3 and says goodbye to the tournament.

Dreams big for Fritz who, in the semifinals, will face the other American Tiafoe who, in the quarterfinals, wins the match with Dimitrov, forced to retire in the fourth set due to a physical problem: 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, 4-1 the partials in favor of Tiafoe.

The United States dreams, after 21 years (Roddick, 2003), of an American winning the U.S. Open. In the meantime, it enjoys Sinner who, thanks to Zverev &egrave’s knockout; increasingly serene in his comfortable position as world No. 1.
