Roland Garros, Lucia Bronzetti immediately out: goes down with Alexandrova

Lucida Bronzetti’s adventure at Roland Garros came to an immediate halt. The Rimini-based tennis player, number 57 in the world, surrendered in two sets to Russia’s Ekaterina Alexandrova, number 20 in the seeding and WTA ranking, who won with a final score of 6-3 6-2 after almost an hour and a half of play.
An uphill start for the Italian, forced to give up the serve in her first service game (0-2). Bronzetti failed to break free and gave up the serve in the fourth game as well, paving the way for Alexandrova who made the partial her own 6-3.
The balance lasts very little in the second partial as well. After an initial exchange of breaks, the Russian strung together a series of four consecutive games before closing on a 6-2 final and gaining access to the second round of the Paris Slam.
The Russian won the second game.
With this defeat for Bronzetti thus fades the possibility of an all-Italian derby in the second round with Elisabetta Cocciaretto, who will have to overcome the Taylor Townsend’obstacle in her debut.

Simone Inzaghi cashes the Tapiro and sets his sights on Champions League

Monday on Striscia la notizia Tapiro d’oro to Simone Inzaghi, coach of Inter Milan, who saw another Scudetto fade away, won with only one point lead in the standings by Antonio Conte’s Napoli on the last day, thanks to a 2-0 victory over Cagliari.
Delivering it to him was, of course, the tapiroforo Valerio Staffelli. “You have to know how to win and you have to know how to lose. We are sorry, but I think it was a compelling championship played by two great teams that fought until the last – admitted the Inter coach.’Clearly there is regret on our part, but my boys really gave everything. Compliments must be given to Napoli, a team that has made a very good run like ours”.
Now the head is all on the Champions League, in which Inter will be engaged with PSG in the final on Saturday, May 31, in Munich: “We have the most important game that a coach and a player can play and we go into it with a lot of confidence. We will give it our all”.
For Simone Inzaghi it is the fifth Tapiro d’Oro of his career. Asked about the future, the coach from Piacenza joked: “I am staying because I want to get the sixth Tapiro d’oro”. The full report will be broadcast Monday night on Striscia la notizia (Channel 5, 8:35 p.m.).
