The two blues, in fact, were defeated by the pair formed by Sofia Kenin and Lyudmyla Kichenok with a peremptory 6-0 6-4.

The two blues were defeated by the pair formed by Sofia Kenin and Lyudmyla Kichenok with a peremptory 6-0 6-4.

The first set was a nightmare for the two Italians, who failed to hold serve even once, losing it twice out of a total of three on the advantages.

In the second set, Kenin and Kichenok got off to an immediate rocket start, finding the break in the opening set. With their backs against the wall, however, Cocciaretto and Bronzetti managed to get into the match and recover the disadvantage. The joy, however, was short-lived, as in the tenth game the American and Ukrainian wrested service again from their opponents, thus ending the match on 6-4.

In the next round, Kenin and Kichenok will face the winners of the match between Asia Muhammad/Demi Schuurs and Cristina Bucsa/Angelica Moratelli.

Ducati, Pecco Bagnaia dejected: “I can’t find the feeling”

ducati,-pecco-bagnaia-dejected:-“i-can’t-find-the-feeling”

Despite his third place in pre-qualifying, it is a Pecco Bagnaia tutt’altro che soddisfatti quello intervenvenuto ai microphones of “Sky Sport“, where, among other topics covered, he returned to the continuing problems of adaptation to the new bike.

“We did a different job. After 5 gp, I realized that the feeling of last year&#8217s I can&#8217t find it. Today I tried to do it in a different way, taking advantage of the strengths of this bike, which are others. It certainly has good grip, I was able to make a’very good run in some places, but in the entry phase I am always very tied in staying with the brakes in hand” began the Ducati centaur.

“I can’t bring in as much speed as I would like, but all in all we did well. I tried to adapt myself to the bike and with the used tires I was able to lap pretty strong, but definitely not like Marc, who is the fastest right now. Right now my pace is similar to Quartararo and Vinales fighting for second. I am sure that in qualifying the times will all be closer and we can take another step to get closer to Marquez” added rider number 63.

“The step forward has to be made in the’last part of braking. It’s always been my strength and we don&#8217t know why we can&#8217t find it again. It doesn&#8217t come together, so I have to adapt to the situation, and this is a problem that forces me to be more conservative and change my riding style. I hope to find that feeling again as soon as possible so I can express my true potential” concluded Pecco Bagnaia.

Andrea Pusateri is ready for new challenges and to break more limits

A champion in life and sports

.

In Monte Carlo, at Top Marques Monaco, there was also Andrea Pusateri, who recently became an ambassador of zondacrypto, the cryptocurrency exchange platform main sponsor of the event that will be staged in the Principality until Sunday. Sportal.it interviewed the 31-year-old Paralympic cyclist, who is ready for new challenges and was also the author of the interesting book entitled ‘Limits do not exist’ (Piemme).

Andrea, do these limits exist or not?
.
My goal is to try to overcome them, maybe even destroy them.

And have you succeeded? Can you say that it is your mantra?
.
Yes, absolutely. My mantra is to never give up, even when things get bad. I am convinced that in life there are more difficult moments than positive ones, but it is precisely from the negative ones that we must learn to draw strength to move forward.

How did you get started with cycling?
.
It all came about a bit by accident. I was following a friend of mine who raced bikes for Ciclistica Monzese, and every weekend I went to see the races. We’re talking about the early 2000s. And from those weekends spent watching the races, I got the urge to try it myself. So I started my journey in para-cycling, which has led me to where I am today.

You were telling me about a tough climb you recently tackled…
.
I’ve done many in my sporting life, but last week’s was the toughest one ever: the Sormano Wall. I had never tackled it before, but I decided to try it as a personal challenge. I got to the top with 200 beats per minute. It was really very hard but the satisfaction was immense.

Now there&#8217s a new milestone to cross and one with an important meaning…
.
Yes, there is the Giro d’Italia and, considering what recently happened to the Rovagnati family (the tragic death in February of CEO Lorenzo, ed.), I feel a great sense of responsibility: it was news that touched and saddened me enormously. The Rovagnati people gave me confidence and appreciated the message that, even with difficulties, one can move forward and accomplish great things.

There is another detail, and not a small one, that you can be proud of…
.
I am proud to be the first Paralympic captain present at all the stages. It is a strong message of 101% inclusion and I am glad that it starts from Italy.

And zondacrypto? It has been with you from the beginning…
.
Yes, with zondacrypto it all started at Strade Bianche. After that race they believed in me, my values and the challenges I want to face. In June I will start a new project, it’s called Beyond Limits: I will ride around Ireland in 15 days. That’s 2,700 km by bike, 180-200 km a day. I will also always thank my friends at zondacrypto because they have given me a great opportunity to tell my story, to let people know who I really am. And I will never stop being grateful to them.

.

And speaking of “traditional” cycling? What’s going on in Italy? After Nibali there seems to be a void…
.
Cycling is a tough sport, very selective. Now we have champions like Pogacar. In Italy we have riders, but not at that level. I speak as a sprinter: I was good in sprints, in final sprints. I was not complete on all terrain, but in my finals I was good at it. Complete sprinters today are very rare. And that explains a little bit the moment we are living. But even there I am convinced that we will come out of the difficulties: on two wheels we have never lacked talent.

Marc Marquez satisfied but aware

The Friday free practice of the Le Mans GP ended in the sign of Marc Marquez, who finished ahead of everyone in both FP1 and pre-qualifying. Speaking to the microphones of “Sky Sport“, the Ducati centaur, in addition to analyzing his performance during the two sessions, also expressed his views on the continuation of the weekend.

” It’s gone well, but it&#8217s only Friday. We still need to work in a few areas. We made progress between FP1 and pre-qualifying, and I felt comfortable on the bike. I think, though, that everyone will be closer in qualifying” began the Spanish centaur.

“Compared to the past I am making fewer mistakes, however I am still making serious mistakes that I cannot afford, like falling on Sunday in the race. I still need to fix something, not at the bike level, but from a personal point of view. I am self-critical and I think you can always do better. I came to a team where my teammate is a two-time world champion and for the moment we are on a par and we are working well together” added the number 93.

“I didn&#8220t feel so much difference between the two chassis. The new one is more for the future because it will allow us to work on certain aspects and have a little more performance” concluded Marc Marquez.
