Federica Brignone already sets the next stage of her recovery

About a month after the very bad accident during the Italian Alpine Skiing Championships, Federica Brignone is back to talk about her recovery process, providing an update on her condition through a post on her “Instagram” profile.
“1 month since the’accident. Everything is going well, every day I manage to make even a very small step! Thanks to those who are following me for rehabilitation, those who in this month came to see me, spent time with me, those who gave me sweets, flowers, books or messages of support”
“My goal now is to get back on my feet” this is the message of the skier from Valle d’Aosta.
Despite recent improvements, recovery time is still very long. Federica Brignone, for her part, has no intention of forcing, as her goal is to arrive in the best possible condition for the 2026 Milan-Cortina Winter Olympics.

Terrible tragedy in race in England: two drivers dead

Terrible tragedy in the British Supersport championship at Oulton Park, England: two young riders, aged 21 and 29, died after a serious accident happened at the first corner of Monday’s race at the Cheshire circuit. The victims are 21-year-old Englishman Owen Jenner and 29-year-old New Zealander Shane Richardson, who crashed after the first few meters of the second heat of the British race along with nine other riders.
The two young riders were killed in a car crash.
A dramatic carambole, which also involved Tom Tunstall, who was seriously injured in the back and abdomen. Less serious was the condition of the other riders who fell.
The’accident occurred after the first corner of the circuit and was triggered by the fall of a centaur: from there came a series of pileups and collisions, fatal to Jenner and Richardson. The former died from a brain injury, the latter from serious chest injuries: the helicopter flight to the’hospital was unnecessary.
The race has been canceled and all events still scheduled for the weekend have been permanently cancelled.

Ducati: Dovizioso speaks out on Bagnaia and Marc Marquez

The’former Ducati rider Andrea Dovizioso at Sky microphones spoke about the MotoGP World Championship and the confrontation between Pecco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez, the two centaurs of the official team of the stable of Borgo Panigale. Dovizioso pointed out how Bagnaia, though not at his best, sent Marquez into trouble at Jerez, even to the point of making him fall.
“Pecco even if he is not 100% fit is very lucid, and that overtake made at 9 may have affected Marc’s race in a negative way. Finding himself behind Marquez he found a different feeling, probably related to aerodynamics. Yet he had more, he could have won or played it with Alex. In this Pecco is really strong”.
.
Dovizioso complimented Fabio Quartararo, who is back on the podium: “Right now Fabio is riding the bike in a resounding way because he is able to overcome certain limitations of the bike that from the outside you can hardly see”.
“In Yamaha they are doing an amazing job, they are improving so much and this is the confirmation”, concluded the rider from Forlì.

Jannik Sinner uncatchable: Alexander Zverev no longer holds back

Alexander Zverev at a press conference in Rome for the Internazionali d’Italia returned to talk about the last few difficult months he has had: the German tennis player missed a chance to catch Jannik Sinner, who was suspended for three months for the Clostebol case, and went through a period that has dented his confidence. “I had two bad months and became the worst number two ever” he blurted out.
“It is true that before Munich my level was not exceptional, but there were reasons. I think the fact that I didn’t take a break after Australia had an impact. I was exhausted” are the words reported by Tennisworlditalia.
“The media likes to denigrate players. I know I didn’t play up to expectations, but it happened to Carlos and then he won Monte Carlo”.
Zverev lands in Rome with confidence: “It is always nice to come back to a place knowing you won the tournament. I really like Rome and I am confident. I hope I can play as well as I did last year. There are players in the top 10, I won’t mention names, who make me feel very comfortable; others less so. That’s the way it is. That’s why tennis is an interesting sport. The next two weeks represent my main goal”.
