When I finished the last lap today, I almost couldn…t believe it… It’s nice, beautiful to be able to feel fully grateful and I know for sure, this happiness that I have and that we have felt these days, we will jealously guard it and bring it to the next gathering, again on the Snow, when they will re-start training”.

The Stadio ‘Marcantonio Bentegodi’ is preparing to host, on the evening of Monday, April 28, the challenge of the thirty-fourth day of Serie A between Hellas Verona and Cagliari, two teams in the second half of the standings but relatively calm, although not yet arithmetically safe. The Scaligeri, with a win, would go +10 from the third’last place, while a success by the islanders would bring the latter to +8.

The Hellas have not won since March 15 but in the last five they have also lost only once, on April 19 against Roma. Confirmed Tengstadt’s absence, Dawidowicz won&#8217t be there either: both are in lucky. In Paolo Zanetti’s 3-5-2 there will be space for the defensive trio Ghilardi-Coppola-Valentini, while in attack there will be Sarr and Mosquera.

David Nicola’s Cagliari comes from two consecutive knockouts, against Inter and Fiorentina, and has won only one of the last nine games played, against bottom-of-the-table Monza. Unavailable, due to injury, are Yerry Mina and Roberto Piccoli: Palomino is expected to play in the center of the three-man defense, while the’only offensive point of reference should be Luvumbo, with Viola a trequartista.

Probable lineups

HELLAS VERONA (3-5-2): Montipò; Ghilardi, Coppola, Valentini; Tchatchoua, Duda, Suslov, Bernede, Bradaric; Sarr, Mosquera. All. Zanetti.

CAGLIARI (3-5-1-1): Caprile; Zappa, Palomino, Luperto; Zortea, Adopo, Prati, Deiola, Augello; Viola; Luvumbo. All. Nicola.

In fact, all competitions in the afternoon and evening sessions were postponed until Tuesday, in the hope that the problem that caused the’huge power outage will be effectively resolved.

Thirteen singles scoreboard matches are affected by the postponement: Draper-Berrettini, Tsitsipas-Musetti, Dimitrov-Fearnley (suspended on 6-4, 5-4 – 30-40), Norrie-Diallo, Khachanov-Paul, Tiafoe-Muller, and De Munaur-Shapovalov for the’ATP Masters 1000; Shnaider-Swiatek, Sabalenka-Stearns, Kostyuk-Potapova, Keys-Vekic, Uchijima-Alexandrova and Svitolina-Sakkari for the WTA 1000.

“For reasons beyond the control of the’organization and due to the national blackout that hit Spain on Monday, April 28, the program of the Mutua Madrid Open cannot continue as planned – organizers of the event informed -. The power failure has led to the operational collapse of infrastructure throughout the country, including the Caja Magica”.

“The’organization, after consultation with the relevant authorities, had no choice but to suspend and cancel all sporting activities in order to ensure the safety of the players, fans and staff at the Caja Magica– the note further reads.”

The tournament has activated the appropriate protocols for these extraordinary circumstances, the impact of which is still being assessed by the relevant authorities. An announcement will be made as soon as there are updates. The Mutua Madrid Open recommends that all spectators leave the Caja Magica for safety reasons”.
