With only four points away from ninth place, the Beye-led team is preparing to face the most demanding challenge: the one with PSG. Rennes comes to the challenge with a remarkable performance in recent weeks: four victories in the last five league games, including a clear 0-4 thrashing of Montpellier. The new coach, Beye, who took over from Sampaoli, has been able to give new identity and stability to the team, which can now concretely aim to climb back to the top of the standings.

On the’other side, PSG continues to dominate Ligue 1. The 4-1 infliction on Lille in the last round reaffirmed the superiority of the Parisian team, which is getting closer and closer to winning its 13th national title, with a lead of no less than 13 points over the second in the standings. However, the European journey has reserved a setback: in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Liverpool, despite a convincing and for long stretches dominant performance, PSG suffered an undeserved 1-0 defeat. But with the return leg still to be played, everything è still at stake.

Milan, this time Sergio Conceicao is satisfied

Milan, this time Sergio Conceicao è satisfied

È a quite serene Sergio Conceicao the one who appeared in the press room after his Milan’s comeback success in Lecce: “I saw one of the best first halves of the league. We had 4-5 chances and scored two goals that were cancelled out. Little to do”.

“We worked on Lecce’s weaknesses and got a goal on our own mistake. We played between the lines with Pulisic and Musah, and we created problems for the opponent without scoring goals. In the second half we suffered the double, the changes gave something more. I say bravo to the boys who believed in it until the end”.

” I feel like working, we have to be more balanced in terms of dynamics, otherwise we risk on every restart. We worked on small things that we were not analyzing with the group for the close games. Normal that I am not happy about getting out of the Champions League, but this is all part of the team’s evolution”.

“We played with three midfielders, with Musah we were taking their midfielders, we wanted to take away confidence from the opponents, and we stayed compact as a team. Leao è a great player, he always has to start the game, but you need to work on games and for one reason or another he doesn&#39t start as a starter. Even from the bench he wants to give his best, and I like him more than when he makes an assist or scores a goal”.
