Parma, double renewal in defense
Parma has made official a double renewal in defense. “Parma Calcio announces that Alessandro Circati has extended his contract until June 30, 2029” reads the statement published by the Gialloblù club, which was followed shortly after by another: “Parma Calcio announces that Giovanni Leoni has extended his contract until June 30, 2029”.
A journey, that of the Australian national and Parma Calcio, which began in February 2021 in the ranks of the Primavera team and continued brilliantly in the First Team, where the defender made his debut in the Serie B championship. In the 2023-24 season, Circati è established himself definitively, showcasing strength and talent, winning through hard work a starting shirt and playing a key role in the promotion to Serie A.
“I am very happy for the renewal, with Parma and with the Gialloblu fans I have a beautiful relationship – Circati told the channels of the ducal club -. Here I feel all the affection necessary to continue to do well. I thank the Directors and especially President Kyle J. Krause for the trust they are showing me at a very special time for me, such as this. I look forward to getting back to playing together with my teammates to help them achieve our goal”.
Arriving in’August 2024, the talented defender immediately proved his worth, making his debut with great personality in Serie A against Venezia and embellishing his journey with a historic achievement: thanks to the goal scored against Cagliari, è he became the youngest Parma Calcio defender to score in the top league, at just 18 years and 50 days old. An achievement that testifies to Giovanni’s determination, in a path of exponential growth, where the gifts and potential of a champion are exalted.
“I have only been in Parma for a few months, but I already feel it as my home – Leoni’s words. I really like the city and our fans are extraordinary. I felt a great emotion on the day of my debut in Serie A and I am convinced that this club is the best to be able to grow and enhance the work I do with the team every day. With this opportunity, I want to thank President Kyle J. Krause and the whole Club for the opportunity they have given me”.

Marc Marquez no longer wants to make mistakes and heralds change

Marc Marquez knows he is dominating this year but he has also made several heavy mistakes: “They are my weakness, I will try to handle everything differently, but I made them all on Sunday and I have to avoid them if I want to fight for the championship. I will have to think about the races where I didn”t score points.
In Aragon he will be the favorite: “Dominating here like last year will be difficult since it was raining, it will be a faster weekend, with a more rubberized track and therefore more difficult. In Silverstone I wanted to defend the points lead, here I will try to fight for the victory. My feelings compared to last Gp are better”.
In the press conference Marco Bezzecchi, winner at Silverstone, also spoke: “It was great, I missed the podium. The bike gives very good sensations, I can’t wait to start again here and try to be competitive. We made a lot of steps forward, because we were also in Jerez and Le Mans but I made some mistakes. It might be difficult to repeat, but we want to be continuous”.
