Parma in ten after half an hour, Roma expels Tardini

Parma in ten after half an hour, Roma expels Tardini
At the Tardini in the match of the twenty-fifth day of the Serie Roma beat a Parma 1-0 in ten from just after the half-hour of the first half for the expulsion of Leoni. Second consecutive win for the guests, fourth defeat in a row for the hosts.
Pecchia also in this match, due to injuries, redesigns the formation and tries to change a path that so far has led to dead-end streets. Ranieri for his part wants to continue the series of positive results and continue climbing the standings.
Those who have the tough task are certainly the hosts since history sees them defeated 34 times in the 55 confrontations played. For the first ten minutes nothing happens until Bonny misses an inviting ball from Cancellieri in the box. All proceeds quietly or nearly so until the 29th’ when Leoni commits a last man foul on Celik: punishment and expulsion.
The following free kick è taken in a masterful way by Soulé: ball that goes over the barrier and into the’cross. The rest, until the double whistle, è boredom. In the second half Roma threatened to double but Suzuki, with two extraordinary interventions first on Soulé and then on Salah-Eddine keeping Parma in the game. And Suzuki repeated three minutes later on Pellegrini’s low shot.
The match keeps the same plot: giallorossi keeping the ball and trying to double and ducali trying, as and when they can, to strike on the throw-in. It ends with Roma taking home the three points and a Parma, desperate, that despite being in ten against eleven for more than an hour, tries futilely to equalize.

Genoa stings twice in the final: Venezia defeated at Marassi

Genoa-Venezia 2-0
Genoa conquers the success against Venezia in the ‘Monday Night’ of the twenty-fifth day of Serie A and obtains three very important points in the race for salvation: with thirteen games to go, in fact, the Grifone have a ten-point lead over the third-last place, while the Laguna team remains second-to-last at -5 from the first position useful to remain in the top league.
At Marassi the first half è intense from the point of view of physicality; but at the same time poor in great scoring chances: only in the final the guests have a couple of chances to go to the net, but Nicolussi Caviglia’s powerful shot from outside is neutralized by Leali at 42′ and three minutes later Kike Perez sends over the crossbar from a good position.
In the resumption, Genoa raises the level of intensity’and but è well past the half-hour mark, and after three changes on each side (Busio, Maric and Yeboah for Zampano, Fila and Oristanio in the Venice ranks; Ekuban, Cornet and Ekhator in place of Vitinha, Junior Messias and Miretti for the Rossoblù), that the match finds its resolution. In fact, at 82’82; è a newcomer, Ekuban, to serve the right ball for Pinamonti, whose splendid right-footed shot leaves Radu no chance for the 1-0.
Put on the ropes, Venezia suffered the final knockout blow at 86’86’: Ekuban’s assist again, this time for Cornet, who breaks free at speed from an opposing defender and scores, thus making it 2-0. There will be no further excitement, to rejoice è Genoa, victorious for the third time in a row in matches played at home. Venice still unsuccessful, however, in 2025.

Casper Ruud makes a prediction about Jannik Sinner

Casper Ruud is with Jannik Sinner
The conclusion of the Clostebol case, with the agreement between Jannik Sinner and Wada that led to the South Tyrolean player's three-month suspension from competitions, continues to stir the tennis world: among the players who have openly sided with the current world No. 1 is one of his on-court rivals, Norway's Casper Ruud.
On the sidelines of the Ultimate Tennis Showdown stage held in the past few days in Guadalajara, Mexico, “The Ice Man” (as he è enrolled in the particular international tournament) not only empathized with Sinner, but also prophesied a comeback in a big way. “I know Jannik very well and am on his side” he said.
“He’s a good guy and after the suspension he will come back to prove he is the best player in the world” added the Norwegian, who last played against Sinner in the semifinals at the ATP Finals in Turin in 2024, losing 6-1, 6-2. There were two other previous matches, again with victory for the South Tyrolean, both in Vienna, in 2020 (first round) and 2021 (quarters).
Jannik Sinner will return to training in mid-April, as stipulated by regulations governing his suspension. The idea is to see him back on the court in May for the two most important events of late spring, the Internazionali d’Italia in Rome and Roland Garros in Paris.

Jonathan Milan sets major new target

Jonathan Milan aims for Milan-San Remo
Jonathan Milan wants to succeed in a feat that Italian cycling has failed to celebrate for a full seven years: winning Milan-San Remo. On the sidelines of the UAE Tour, where he won the first stage by beating Finn Fisher-Black and Tobias Lund Andresen in a sprint, the Lidl-Trek sprinter from Friuli has in fact confirmed that he wants to have fun on the roads of the Emirates, aiming forò the Classicissima on March 22. The last representative of the tricolor to triumph on the historic finish line of Via Roma è was Vincenzo Nibali, in 2018.
“We are here to prepare the Milan-San Remo, although the race finale è different – confirmed the winner of the first stage of the Tour of the UAE, which ended on the finish line placed at the height of Liwa Palace, in Abu Dhabi -, then there will be the other classics. First, forò we want to have fun at the UAE Tour”.
“I was very motivated to sprint to win this stage, because the finish was slightly uphill,” added Milan. “It was important to find the best position, to start the sprint at 700 meters. I also saw Pogacar attacking, I followed a Bardiani man and made my sprint”.
Jonathan Milan not only celebrated his success on the roads of the UAE Tour, but also wore the red jersey of the leader of the classification, although the race does not lend itself to the ultimate success of a sprinter: “There are already better specialists than me in time trials,” he said, “but I will do everything I can to keep the jersey”.
