Novak Djokovic’s PTPA rules after Jannik Sinner’s disqualification

The Professional Tennis Players Association founded by Novak Djokovic has issued a very harsh statement on social media regarding the three-month disqualification of Jannik Sinner agreed by the world number 1 with WADA for the Clostebol case, and more generally very critical of the justice sisema in the sport of tennis. Here is the text of the statement.

“Some issues are clearer, regardless of cheer. The ‘system’ is not è a system, è a club. Case-by-case judgment è in reality, only a cover for tailor-made deals, unfair treatment and inconsistent decisions”.

“It’s not just about different decisions depending on the players. It is about a lack of transparency, consistency, and credibility on the part of the’set of agencies charged with regulating sports and athletes”.

“It is about lack of commitment on the part of the ATP, WTA, Grand Slam tournament organizers, ITIA and WADA to reform and create a fair and transparent system for the future”.

“È an unacceptable situation for all athletes, the sign of a deep disrespect for the sport and fans. È time for change. And we will”.

Marc Marquez knows he is dominating this year but he has also made several heavy mistakes: “They are my weakness, I will try to handle everything differently, but I made them all on Sunday and I have to avoid them if I want to fight for the championship. I will have to think about the races where I didn”t score points.

In Aragon he will be the favorite: “Dominating here like last year will be difficult since it was raining, it will be a faster weekend, with a more rubberized track and therefore more difficult. In Silverstone I wanted to defend the points lead, here I will try to fight for the victory. My feelings compared to last Gp are better”.

In the press conference Marco Bezzecchi, winner at Silverstone, also spoke: “It was great, I missed the podium. The bike gives very good sensations, I can&#8217t wait to start again here and try to be competitive. We made a lot of steps forward, because we were also in Jerez and Le Mans but I made some mistakes. It might be difficult to repeat, but we want to be continuous”.
