Nicolas Escudé judges on Jannik Sinner

During an interview given to the microphones of “L’Equipe”, former French tennis player Nicolas Escudé, among other topics, returned to Jannik Sinner’s triumph at the Australian Open. In addition to extolling the qualities of the world number one, the former player tried to identify the details that could put the South Tyrolean in trouble.

“We saw Sinner have a big physical problem against Rune in the round of 16 of the Australian Open, but even on that occasion Jannik è managed to win. For him to lose I think he needs to confront a player who can keep his rhythm from a physical standpoint for a long time despite the way he plays, which is not easy for his opponent” began the former French tennis player.

“Alternatively, this Sinner canò lose to a tennis player with an impressive serve. A point machine that concedes nothing on his serve and canò take him to the end of the set and hope to take advantage of one or two of the blue’s smears perhaps during the tie-break” added the Chartres native.

“In a Slam, forò the matter becomes even more complicated. Probably, to date, Carlos Alcaraz remains the one who, thanks to all the solutions he has in his tennis, canò find the weapons to counter Sinner. For the moment, però, he continues to make too many mistakes and not put everything in the right order” Nicolas Escudé has commented.
