Istanbul’s Vodafone Arena will host the seventh-day Europa League showdown between Solskjaer and Immobile’s Besiktas and Athletic Bilbao. The hosts arrive at the match after a 2-1 defeat at the Bodo Glimt field, a result that caused them to slip to 28th place in the standings. The Spaniards, on the other hand, moved to the top of the standings, on equal points with Lazio, thanks to a 2-0 win at home to Fenerbahce on the last European day; the Biancocelesti, however, remain ahead because of the better goal difference.
The Danish coach will have the arduous task of reviving the fortunes of the Bianconeri team, both in the Turkish league, where it currently occupies fifth position, and in the Europa League, where it is in danger of not even qualifying for the playoffs for the round of 16.
On the other side, Athletic Bilbao will try to continue its winning streak, lining up with the 4-2-3-1 form, with Guruzeta as an offensive reference and former Torino player Berenguer in support in the three-quarter. At 4:30 p.m. the whistle will blow.
