A tiring but winning debut at the Australian Open for Jannik Sinner, who on the concrete in Melbourne as the tournament s defending champion beat Chilean Nicolás Jarry, world number 35, in three sets with a score of 7-6, 7-6, 6-1 in 2 hours and 42 minutes of play.
