Jannik Sinner ignores Nick Kyrgios: “I only think about the Slam.”
The anticipation grows for the debut with Jarry
The start of the Australian Open è around the corner. Sinner, the defending champion, can't wait to take the court and try to repeat last year's success. He'll make his debut against Jarry but, in the meantime, he'll be called upon, once again, to shed light on many points, mainly off-court.
“I don’t think I have to answer these questions, to be honest, but in my mind I know exactly what è happened, and è soì I block out these thoughts. I can’t just take them and put them aside in a box and not think about them anymore, but I know I didn’t do anything wrong, okay? I’m not going to respond to what Nick (Kyrgios, ed.) says or what other players say”, the world No. 1’s clear words during the pre-Australian Open press conference.
In addition to Kyrgios’ accusations, Sinner has to deal with the Tas issue: “There is no newsà. It would be nice to be able to tell you that it è a situation I don't think about, è obviously it è in my mind and I have to live with it already for quite some time. But I can do nothing, only prepare this Slam by taking care of every detail”.
In short, maximum concentration at the tournament, without “external infiltration”. Sinner wants to stick to his principles, trying to isolate himself from the rest of the world. How? Sinner himself explained: “Doing things that give me joy, especially right now, helps me. And it also helps me to be surrounded by people I know and know me well, who care about me as a person as well as a tennis player”.

Entering the race in the running, Leao è was decisive in winning the Italian Super Cup in Saudi Arabia. It was his second trophy in the Rossoneri, after the Scudetto in the 2021/22 season. Then Pioli was on the bench, now Conceiçao with whom he immediately found a great feeling.
“He brought energy and a new mentalityà. Soì we came to win the Super Cup and doing it è was important for everyone. Conceiçao doesn’t always joke, but he knows how to push me and he will help me get to a higher level. We are betting big on him. I am ready to listen and follow his ideas, which are good, since he è arrived and after a few days we won a trophy”, his clear words in the interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.
Conceiçao è managed to do, in a few days, what Fonseca did not do in months, which was to find a way to make the most of Leao’s talent: “He tried to do his job, to apply his ideas and I believe that there is always something to learn. But it didn’t work out and whether he should stay or not, I certainly don’t decide that. I can però say that everyone tried to do their best and I wish Fonseca the best”.
Winning the Italian Super Cup is not enough. Leao dreams of raising other trophies. The Portuguese è particularly interested in the Champions League: “In Europe we have the ambition to go as far as possible. The Champions è the most beautiful cup there is, and for us from now on they will all be finals. We can dream of winning something important as well. Nothing è impossible”.

The Danish defender’s contract expires in June 2026
To date, Udinese’s championship is definitely positive. The Friulans are having a good season but, within the club, there’s the ambition to be able to do even better. Hence the concrete possibility that, during the winter market, some reinforcements may arrive. In particular, spotlight on the back pack.
Rumors speak of a strong interest, by Udinese, in Roerslev, a defender class 1999 in force at Brentford (club that took him from Vendsyssel in the summer of 2019). A right-wing outfielder, he would be very useful to the team coached by Runjaic.
This season, his fourth consecutive one in the Premier League, he is playing with a fair amount of continuity (16 appearances) but he is definitely not è a key part of the club. The problem è is the price of his price tag. Pretty well known fact that Premier League players have significant costs, especially for the pockets of Italian clubs.
Roerslev’s contract expires in June 2026 but the value of his player card is still around a figure of 10/12 million euros. Too much for Udinese, which would be trying to baste a negotiation based on the loan formula. Also to be understood is whether the Friulian club will make cash, in this section of the market, with some divestment. Money that could be reinvested to get to Roerslev.

Cleveland’s good moment continues. The Cavs also overcame Toronto (132-126 the final), winning their 12th consecutive victory. At home, only one loss in 21 contests played. Excellent performance by Garland, who put up an impressive 40 points, with also nine assists. The Cavs’ updated record speaks of 33 wins and only four losses.
Third win in a row for Minnesota, which easily disposed of Orlando (104-89, 21 points by Edwards). Without Doncic and Irving, it was Hardy who made the difference: 25 points with no less than three triples scored. Atlanta falls, beaten by Phoenix (123-115, 20 points for Booker).
Houston also smiles as it wins in its challenge with Memphis (119-115 the final). For the Rockets it is the third win in a row. Not enough, in Grizzlies jersey, a good performance of the returning Morant (27 points). The talent of Sengun shines, who scores 32 points, also capturing 14 rebounds. Success also for Miami: 97-92 over Utah (23 points by Herro). The NBA decided not to have the game between LA Lakers and Charlotte by virtue of what is happening to the city of Los Angeles.
