Roberto Mancini returns on his farewell to the national team

Thusì Roberto Mancini, in an exclusive interview with Tg1, responds to a question about his farewell to the Italian national team; “I would not make that choice again. For technical reasons, for soccer reasons, because coaching the national team è the most beautiful thing. No, I would not do it again”.

“Perhaps we did not understand each other, maybe if we had talked a little more it would have gone differently – added the former coach, referring to Figc president Gabriele Gravina – but I have nothing against the president”.

“Moreù attentive to money than to the jersey? My story speaks for me, those who don&#39t know it just go and read it and then they can” talk”, said Mancini again, who then said he had no contact with other clubs after leaving the Saudi Arabia bench.

”No one has contacted me, but something will come, è just a matter of time”. Finally, a message for friend Gianluca Vialli who passed away almost two years ago: “I hope he is well. We all really miss him”.

Atalanta, Gian Piero Gasperini enjoys Charles De Ketelaere

These are the words of Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini after the victory over Empoli that allows Dea to maintain the lead in the standings alone.

“We spend a great Christmas with a suffered but strongly wanted victory. The 3-2 in the final by De Ketelaere è not a star that fell from the sky, he sought it and wanted it with leg and conviction. The heart è as important as the head. We won in spite of the vicissitudes that complicated it – the Atalanta coach’s analysis – We got a cold goal by getting distracted on the throw-in, then when the comeback seemed done è came this penalty.

Lookman&#39s not very happy night and Retegui’s early exit could have been premises for a bad night”. Gasperini è was satisfied with Retegui’s replacement: “Zaniolo did his part even in a role in which he è adapted, made the assist to Lookman and then had his difficultiesà against a well-equipped and solid defense – Gasperini observed. Forward then è right that in strong teams the alternatives taking over have a way to be decisive, after all with five changes we play in 16 and perhaps the competitors are numerically moreù equipped than us”.

On the best player on the field, the Nerazzurri coach has no doubts: “De Ketelaere added heart to the head that he always had and uses to score, in a couple of situations the ball è ended up in the goalkeeper&#39s arms – he closes. È was a continuous reference, he was always to be found and always built the attacking game. But I can only help him express himself by making him bring out what he has, the credit è all his”.
