Stankovic, sigh of relief after Padua
Stankovic’s words
This morning at the PalaPanini è the renewal of the partnership with CPL Concordia was presented, the company’s president Paolo Barbieri was present, along with Valsa Group central Dragan Stankovic who spoke about the match won with Padova and the next round scheduled for Sunday in Taranto.
“The match with Padova showcased our good play in the center,” Stankovic explained, “surely it is not possible for every match to be like this, but with De Cecco we knew from the start that we center players would have fun. Starting from the bench è happened to me other times in my career, for example when at Lube I couldnè t start to respect the number of Italians on the court, è a situation I know how to handle, I am confident in what I can do and as long as Iè feel so good Iè ll give my best to be of help to the team. We had a difficult start to the season, then two consecutive wins and the loss to Cisterna at home that messed us up a bit, this was seen especially in Civitanova where we played very badly. The match with Padova was fundamental to get back on our feet, we were under pressure at the beginning, but from the third set we found a good rhythm. È a very difficult league, Taranto just showed against Lube that they are a very tricky team, we will have to be focused throughout the match. In the last few years the SuperLega è has become more and more balanced, each match makes history on its own, and we must immediately leave behind the victory with Padova to focus on the next match. By winning you find confidence and security, of course you cannot win every game, but even when you lose you have to leave the court knowing that you gave your all”.
“Once again this year we are by Modena Volleyball’s side – these are Barbieri’s words – and we are happy to accompany the new season, convinced that this is a very positive relationship for both realities’. The’360-degree innovation è fundamental in our work, this è one of the values we share with Modena Volley and that are the basis of our collaboration”.

Gianmarco Tamberi doesn’t forget Paris 2024
Tamberi’s words
Gianmarco Tamberi è returned to speak in the latest episode of ‘Belve’ the cult Rai2 program conceived and hosted by Francesca Fagnani.
“I played basketball until I was 17,” he recounted, “If I had still played basketball I would have been less proud, but happier. Doing what you love makes all the difference. It doesn't feel so good to jump a bar. I still enjoy basketball a lot more. I had to make that choice but I don’t love what I do”.
“Not having a relationship with my father è the biggest failure of my life. The lowest point? They were really many and è that is why a relationship deteriorates to such a point that it becomes complicated to patch it up. It’s one thing è to impose rules on yourself, it’s one thing è to choose, it’s one thing è someone choosing for you. A parent has to help you take the right path but not force you to choose that path. I felt at that time very betrayed by the parental figure”.
Filling in on Paris 2024: “I was definitely among the favorites. I felt strong. What è happened è was the ugliest moment, both as physical and mental pain, and d’soul”.

Jannik Sinner and Italy also celebrated in France
Jannik Sinner on the Equipe
Italy's triumph in the Davis Cup è also made the front page in France, where l’Equipe analyzed the momentum of our tennis: “It’s a passionate nation that loves the sport and invests a lot in Futures, Challengers, ATP and WTA tournaments, offering many opportunities” to watch and play tennis”.
Chapter Jannik Sinner: ” The man who è world number one since the last Roland Garros has also benefited from emulation. Matteo Berrettini (now 35°) è been top 10 and a finalist at Wimbledon (2021), and his peer Lorenzo Musetti (17°) è proved capable of some flashes of brilliance before him. Today Italy has six players in the top 50: the three mentioned above, plus the less spectacular but very solid Flavio Cobolli (32°), Matteo Arnaldi (37°) and Luciano Darderi (44°)”.
“At least as important as this density; è is the’ageà of the protagonists. With the exception of Berrettini (28), all are under 25. Of the twenty-one players under 25 currently in the ATP top 50, five are Italian: more than the United States (4), Czech Republic (3), Argentina (2) and France (2). Not only are they there; they are just waiting to stay there and climb the rankings, for those not named Sinner. Not only do the Italians get along very well with each other, but the successes of some also fuel the confidence of others. (…) To underscore the broad spectrum of this team, on Sunday, as the Davis Cup team triumphed, two other Italian players won Challenger tournaments: Luca Nardi (21) in Italy and Fabio Fognini (37) in Spain”.
“While Italy does not host Grand Slam tournaments, it does host a Masters 1000 (the Internazionali BNL d’Italia), tournaments on the main ATP and WTA circuits, and a large number of tournaments in the Challenger and Futures categories. ‘Younger players receive wild-cards and those who have the ranking to enter the draw can play in Italy instead of wasting energy traveling’, Berrettini emphasized a few years ago. All at a lower cost and in a more controlled environment. In this way, training can be accelerated, especially during the dangerous but essential transition period between the world of junior and professional tournaments. In 2024, only the United States organizes more Futures tournaments than Italy (40 versus 33 and 29 in France, for comparison) in the men” circuit.

Adriano Galliani reappoints Alessandro Nesta
Galliani’s words
Adriano Galliani made the point about Monza to the microphones of Sportmediaset: “I do not want to talk about January and the market. If grafts are needed we will see to provide. But we just have to think about the games that are left to the end of the first half of the season”.
“The”bleedingè of results, not of play. No team put us under. Against Torino we could have already scored in the first few minutes and probably so we would have won the game. I am confident, but we play soccer and we will get out of this situation”.
“What canò be the click? We need goals, we create, but we shoot little on goal. We have to stay calm and serene, Nesta has the trust of societyà. The next direct confrontations with other teams fighting for salvation will be important.
Closing remark on the company: “There are no ongoing negotiations, the ownershipà è is 100% Fininvest, the president’s sons are respectful of the love that dadà had for our company. Thank you to the Berlusconi family”.
