An eternal Mike Tyson surrenders only on points against Jake Paul
Jake Paul beats “Iron” Mike Tyson by unanimous decision by jury
It’s Jake Paul who won the boxing match of the year against a never tame “Iron” Mike Tyson. The 58-year-old legend, gave it his all in front of a completely sold-out AT&T Stadium, raising the white flag only on points, as the jury declared the younger boxer the winner by unanimous verdict.
In the first round Tyson immediately took the center of the ring, planting a stunning left that put his opponent on the ropes forcing him to take refuge in the clinch. The second round è even more heated, with the 58-year-old athlete continuing to push through a left and right hook combination to the body to cut off Paul's breath.
From the third round onward, however, the 27-year-old's greater athletic freshness made itself felt, as he managed to bring more shots on target and control the bout thanks to some excellent left jabs, which sapped his opponent's resistance.
In the last two rounds, Tyson tries hard to avoid the melee with the goal of finishing the fight on his feet. For his part, Jake Paul just manages and in the last round he pays homage to the American boxing icon with a bow before the final gong that sanctions the end of the bout and the need for the judges to intervene, who award the victory to the former youtuber with a unanimous verdict.
Making his comeback after nearly two decades, Tyson gave it his all as long as his physique supported him, only to wane and succumb to his rival’s greater freshness.

Casper Ruud doesn’t mince words about Jannik Sinner
The words of Casper Ruud
Casper Ruud will be Jannik Sinner's opponent in the semifinals of the Nitto ATP Finals 2024. The Norwegian tennis player needed only one set to qualify for the next stage, but the world number six wanted to put the icing on the cake by beating Andrey Rublev in the third and final match of the group stage. Speaking at a press conference, the Oslo native è expressed himself in no uncertain terms ahead of the challenge with the South Tyrolean.
“I think Jannik is clearly favored. He’s the best player in the world all season, he plays at home and he hasn't lost a set yet all week. He’s the tennis player to beat this year and I will try to do my best, even though he seems to have almost forgotten how to lose. He will see if he can find a way to try to bother him. Heò will be ready for the most difficult match of my season” began the Norwegian tennis player.
“I knew I only needed one set to qualify, so at the beginning of the match with Rublev I was a bit nervous. When I got the first set I could breathe a little bit more. I focused on the match and finished as best I could with a good final set” continued the world number six.
“It’s hard to play against the best players in the world, but è it's nice because you feel that you're an underdog and you can play freely and you know that if you don't bring your highest level you'll probably lose&#quot; added the Oslo native.
“Tennis è interesting sometimes. I don't know what I'm doing better this week than the last few, maybe the’only thing è the serve, as I'm serving really well” concluded Casper Ruud.
The Norwegian and Jannik Sinner have met only twice so far. On both occasions to triumph è it was the South Tyrolean without conceding a single set to his opponent. The last precedent between the two dates back to the quarterfinals of the Vienna tournament in 2021, where the Italian won over the Oslo native with a score of 7-5 6-1.
