The words of Thiago Motta

These are the statements of Juventus coach Thiago Motta, at the microphones of “Sky Sport”, after the narrow success against Lazio, thanks to an own goal by Mario Gila in the final minutes of the match.

“I am always happy when we win, becauseè we brought our ideas to the field and reaped the fruits of hard work. Today we had great balance in both the defensive and offensive phases. It’s clear that with Lazio in 10 we raised our center of gravity and created more danger, but we still have to improve. Overall, however, è an important and deserved victory. Now we leave this match behind and think about the Champions match against Stuttgart, a team that is playing very, very well, although today they lost” began the coach of the bianconeri.

“We will continue to work on everything and I liked many things. It was not easy to maintain patience against a team that è defended very well even with numerical inferiority. In the first half we were a bit frantic, then with the enthusiasm and the push of our public we managed to do better and the goal è arrived at the right time” added the former Bologna.

“Cambiaso è a player who is becoming very important both here and in the national team, playing as a fifth, fullback or high outside. He’s a complete player who still has a lot of room for improvement. He has to pay attention to his physique, he has to be balanced mentally and physically because he is playing so much. He’s a great professional, he can still grow a lot in the defensive phase. He is going through a very good period of form” Thiago Motta commented.

serie-a-2024-2025:-torino-verona,-the-likely-lineups

With the championship now devoid of concrete goals, all Torino has left to do is to hit the last symbolic milestone: mathematical salvation, only one point away. From there on, the goal will be to end the season in the best possible way, accumulating as many points as possible. At the Olimpico – Grande Torino, however, comes a hungry Verona, which, with only a 7-point margin over the relegation zone, needs a win to avoid nasty surprises, especially if Empoli should overcome Cagliari.

The granata are going through a good moment: they are unbeaten for five rounds and on the last day they snatched a heavy point at the Olimpico against Lazio. The Scaligeri are also living a positive moment, with two consecutive useful results: the external victory in Udine and the internal draw against Parma. All the ingredients for an intense challenge are there.

Probable lineups:

Torino probable lineup (4-2-3-1): Milinkovic; Walukiewicz, Coco, Maripan, Biraghi; Casadei, Ricci; Lazaro, Vlasic, Elmas; Adams. All. Vanoli.

Probable Verona lineup (3-5-2): Montipò; Ghilardi, Coppola, Valentini; Tchatchoua, Dawidowicz, Duda, Bernede, Bradaric; Mosquera, Sarr. All. Zanetti.
