retires.
American Derrick Rose, the youngest MVP in NBA history, announced his retirement after 16 seasons on the court in a statement and on social media. “The next chapter will be to follow my dreams and share my success”, the 35-year-old point guard told US sports magazine The Athletic.
Named MVP in 2011 at just 22 years old, Derrick Rose remains the youngest player to have achieved this recognition in North American basketball. After sixteen seasons with the Chicago Bulls, with whom he stayed eight years, the New York Knicks and Cleveland Cavaliers, the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Detroit Pistons, the Knicks again and the Memphis Grizzlies, Rose bids farewell, hoping to “show the world” the man who è “beyond” the basketball world”. “Whether good or bad, everyone has a certain story in their life. Even if I could, I would not change mine, becauseé è the story that allowed me to find true joy”, he added in the statement.
On his Instagram account, Rose posted a photo in which he appears in front of a chessboard holding a newspaper, on which è he wrote a message intended for basketball. “Thank you, my first love, you believed in me through thick and thin, when everything seemed uncertain. You made every morning and night spent together worth every drop of sweat. You showed me that passion è something to cherish, making sure I put my all into every dribble, every shot, every game”, you read.
A playmaker, Rose has seen his career interrupted by several injuries, particularly to his knees. In 2012, “D-Rose” who was playing for the Bulls at the time, ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his knee when his team had a serious chance of winning the NBA title. That same year è he was forced to withdraw from the London Olympics. He averaged 17.4 points and 5.2 assists in 723 games played.

Qial few days ago Totti had said that since Sinner had played padel with him, he had made such improvements that he had become number 1 in the world and had therefore brought him good luck. This is how Jannik responded sympathetically.

Louis Vuitton Cup final, Luna Rossa wins first race
Louis Vuitton Cup Final, Luna Rossa wins first race
Luna Rossa won the first race against Ineos Britannia of the Louis Vuitton Cup final in Barcelona. Ineos è arrived at the finish line 46”.
The departure of Bruni-Spithill was decisive, and from that moment they controlled without ever taking risks, except for a span caused by rough seas and strong wind at the limit of raceability. Luna Rossa touched speed peaks of 100 km/h.
Great satisfaction on board.”It was really complicated because of the wind conditions and the rough sea, we did a great job – said Francesco Bruni at the end of the race – I am proud of the team, we also recovered some small mistakes we made. It’s normal, here in the water we were flying and there are moments of losing control”
Two match races are scheduled today. The final è best of thirteen challenges (whoever reaches seven victories first goes through) that will entitle to contest the America’s Cup to Team New Zealand from Oct. 12 to 21.
