Milan: Ismael Bennacer does not leave, Adrien Rabiot does not arrive

Fonseca has already reinstated it, it will come in handy
Bennacer, after being considered redundant throughout the summer market session (so much so that he missed a few training sessions because he was “on the market”), has found out his future: he stays at AC Milan. The opportunity’to go and play in the rich Saudi Pro League did not è materialize and, therefore, Bennacer will continue his adventure at AC Milan.
The closing of the market in Saudi Arabia has sealed the end of the soap opera. Fonseca will have, therefore, at his disposal, Bennacer at least until January. A valuable element, if we consider how instrumental he was in winning the Scudetto in 2022 with Pioli on the bench to guide him.
Bennacer’s stay at the Diavolo closed, for good, the Rossoneri club’s doors to Rabiot. The Frenchman, having ended his long adventure at Juventus, seemed to be able to settle at AC Milan but, in the end, the negotiation never è got off the ground. The French midfielder, unemployed luxury, will have to look for another team.
Actually, the only possible route seems to be Turkey, maybe right at Galatasaray, together with Osimhen. Maybe not the very first choice (not even for the Nigerian outgoing from Napoli) but better than staying unemployed luxury. Meanwhile, with Bennacer’s confirmation, the Diavolo è complete. Fonseca now knows who he will be able to count on for this season, which is currently off to an uphill start.

Juventus: summer sale of Yildiz no longer necessary
Hands off Yildiz. Juventus has no intention of letting the young Turkish star slip through their fingers. After the stunning goal that knocked out Genoa in Tudor’s first as the new Bianconeri coach, Yildiz is back, powerfully, in vogue.
Before the’exoneration of Thiago Motta, Yildiz’s future was shrouded in mystery. Many were certain of his farewell in the summer. Several top clubs were ready to step up, most notably Manchester United, which was determined to bet on the Turk to renew (again) its roster and get back to fighting with the best in the Premier League.
In contrast, barring any last-minute unforeseen events, Yildiz is not going anywhere. There would be a financial plan to armor him. Exor, in addition to the 15 million poured into the club’s coffers to cope with Thiago Motta’s exoneration, has let it be known that it could go as high as 110 million in fresh capital in the summer. Roughly the amount needed to keep Yildiz.
In addition, there’s the Champions League issue. Being able to win a pass to the next edition of Europe’s top competition would be crucial to make ends meet and not have to make any major sacrifices. In short, everything points to the fact that Yildiz is destined to stay in Juventus. Here, should the Champions League pass arrive, everything would be much easier.

Milan-Inter: Sergio Conceiçao upsets (again) the Diavolo
Not even time to reflect on what went wrong in the first half against Napoli at the Maradona that, for Conceiçao, it is already time to prepare for the next challenge. On Wednesday, the derby with Inter Milan, valid for the first leg of the Coppa Italia semifinal, is scheduled at San Siro.
Considering the many problems in the league (Milan is -9 from fourth place, occupied by Bologna), the Rossoneri are aiming to go all the way in the Coppa Italia. Overcoming Inter would be crucial to give meaning to a season finale that risks becoming enormously complicated.
For Wednesday’s confrontation, Conceiçao seems determined to upset, again, his Diavolo. Surely, in the starting eleven, there will be Leao. The Portuguese, sent to the bench in the challenge with Napoli, made sparks as soon as he entered the field. Sure that, against Inzaghi’s team, he will have a starting jersey.
Also almost certain is the waiver of Abraham. The Englishman disappointed against the Parthenopeans. Gimenez should play in his place. The Mexican certainly did not have a great showing against Napoli (he also missed a penalty) but Conceiçao seems determined to give him another chance to redeem himself. In midfield, Musah is likely to return while Loftus-Cheek, struggling with the aftermath of appendicitis surgery, will definitely not be there. Possible changes in defense as well, especially if Thiaw recovers from the stomach virus that has been affecting him.

Mensik reveals the backstory behind success in Miami
Beware of the talented Mensik. The 19-year-old Czech, one of the youngest tennis players to win a Masters 1000, proved in Miami that he has all the makings of one of the world’s tennis aces.
At the end of the final he won against his idol Djokovic, Mensik revealed a curious backstory. The Czech, in truth, was one step away from not participating in the Miami Masters 1000.
“A big special thanks to one of the ATP’s physical therapists, Alejandro. An hour before my first match in Miami, I was holding the paper to withdraw from the tournament because my knee was hurting a lot. I was lucky that the judge was having lunch. Then, for the last time, I came for treatment. He performed a miracle. Thanks to him I got on the court. Thanks to him I am here now”, his post-match words, reported by Sky Sports.
Mensik also dwelt on his victory against Djokovic, the star player he has always admired: “It was not the first time I played against Novak (Shanghai quarterfinals, ed.). There’s no harder task in tennis than beating him in the final. But obviously I was feeling really good and it was my moment, so I just tried to focus on the match as I did in the previous rounds”.
