Givova Scafati and Pino Sacripanti part ways

Stefano Pino Sacripanti is no longer the coach of Givova Scafati. It was announced by the Campania team itself, through the release of an official statement on its website, which reads: “Givova Scafati and Stefano “Pino” Sacripanti announce that they have consensually terminated the contract that binds them until the end of this season”.

“After the extraordinary salvation achieved in the 22/23 season, with an’exhilarating championship finish, and a good start to the current competitive year, unfortunately strictly personal reasons of the’coach now determine the’termination of the relationship. To Stefano“Pino” Sacripanti the company will remain humanly grateful and affectively forever linked” adds the note from the club gialloblù.

“I è it is my duty to thank Pino Sacripanti from the bottom of my heart, to whom I feel deeply linked by a relationship of affectionate friendship, esteem and profound gratitude – stressed patron Nello Longobardi -. The’entire society will remain humanly grateful and affectionately linked to Pino for the historic result he gave us last season, through his dedication, constant commitment and dogged determination. The’entire town’with which’he’has been in tune from the beginning and has been able to appreciate his human and professional qualities. I heartily wish Pino the best of luck, in the certainty that our paths will meet again”.

Coach Sacripanti commented on his farewell thus: “I arrived last year in Scafati at a difficult time out of gratitude to Nello Longobardi and together we achieved a very important result. This year affection and esteem for him and his son Enrico have strengthened. Nello Longobardi è a patron whose affection and warmth I have been able to appreciate as an extraordinary man of great generosity and true values. I thank my technical, medical and managerial staff for their constant work always given with utmost dedication and professionalismà. Thanks go to all the Scafati fans for always being there for me, on and off the court. Unfortunately, for purely extra basketball reasons, I must, reluctantly, interrupt this collaboration and take a break. A big good luck for the continuation of the season to the societyà and to the team knowing that you will always have me by your side as the first supporter. Forza Scafati!”.

All-U.S. semifinal at US Open

Another big man exits the tournament. After the various Alcaraz and Djokovic, Zverev è is also no longer in the running at the US Open. The German è was beaten by Fritz in four sets (7-6 (2) 3-6 6-4 7-6), at the end of a match that è lasted almost three and a half hours. A defeat that leaves a lot of bitterness in Zverev’s mouth. The German was aiming to reach at least the final.

A feat for the American who, dragged by the home crowd, won the first semifinal of a Slam event. After winning the first set on tie-break, Fritz suffered the return of Zverev, who took home the second partial with a peremptory 6-3. The momentum seemed to be in the German’s hands but Fritz escaped on 3-0. Zverev recovers but gives up at the più beautiful. Spectacular fourth set. Zverev tries everything but, once again, the tie-break costs him dearly. He loses it 7-3 and says goodbye to the tournament.

Dreams big for Fritz who, in the semifinals, will face the other American Tiafoe who, in the quarterfinals, wins the match with Dimitrov, forced to retire in the fourth set due to a physical problem: 6-3, 6-7, 6-3, 4-1 the partials in favor of Tiafoe.

The United States dreams, after 21 years (Roddick, 2003), of an American winning the U.S. Open. In the meantime, it enjoys Sinner who, thanks to Zverev &egrave’s knockout; increasingly serene in his comfortable position as world No. 1.
