New controversy ahead of the return to the championship.

José Mourinho is back in the news ahead of Roma’s next Serie A match, which will take place on Sunday at the Sassuolo pitch. Coming back from the Europa League interlude, the Lusitanian coach is already focused on the potential critical issues that the Mapei Stadium away match could generate. In particular with regard to refereeing management.

“This is a super important match for us, also becauseé we are 3 points away from the Champions League,” Mourinho stressed in the press conference.

Forò the referee and Var profiles do not leave me calm. Previously with him è it often happened to us that we had no luck, and we were not always able to accept a certain type of work profile”;. For the record, for the Reggio Emilia match, Marcenaro was designated as referee and Di Bello as Var.

“Sassuolo è a tricky opponent, they have a good coach and they only play one game a week,” Mourinho added.

Their qualities often put us in trouble, but I am honest and say that most of all I am worried about the referee. Then of course I am sorry to face Berardi, a player I love but who has an attitude on the field that I often do not share”.
