MotoGP, Fabio Quartararo’s proposal: “Let’s do like in F1”

Fabio Quartararo spoke ahead of the last round of the MotoGp season, scheduled for the weekend in Valencia.

The Yamaha rider è returned to comment on the Sprint format, launching a new proposal: “As a rider, I can assure you that sometimes I finish Sprints more tired than after a normal race. The bikes are more and more physically demanding, and I don’t think we need a Sprint every single weekend. For example, here in Valencia, è it&#39s the last race of the season and we already know there will be a full house in terms of spectators, so we don&#39t need an extra race on Saturday. We should do like Formula 1 does, which only does Sprints on certain weekends, although I am not the organizer and I don&#39t even know the opinion of all the other drivers. But I don&#39t think the current situation is the correct one”

“I honestly do not know, but until all the pilots sign an agreement è it is difficult to do anything. I give an example, if 50% of the pilots want something, è it is normal that there will not be 22 pilots agreeing on the issue. Maybe there will be 15 in favor and the rest will not. Even on the Sprints I am sure there are pilots who like them, so what should we do? It’s a very difficult situation” added the French centaur.

“I think majority would be the right way to deal with things, because” I think it is impossible to always get all the pilots to agree. In fact, we never are when there’s something to discuss. Maybe we can agree in 22 when it comes to bumps on the track or a dangerous wall, but on other things we can&#39t. However, it will always be very difficult to get everyone to agree until there is something signed” concluded Quartararo.

Joan Mir scared of Ducati

With each passing Grand Prix, Ducati’s gap from the chasing houses is getting wider and wider. In the last 8 races, the Borgo Panigale manufacturer has occupied all the podium positions: the domination seems to have no limits. Quite the opposite of Honda, now the tail-end of MotoGp.

The Japanese manufacturer in the first 11 races has collected just 28 points and è desolately last in the constructors’ standings. Rider Joan Mir in As stressed the gap between his bike and that of Ducati: “The work they do è crazy, as well as the level of their bike. I found myself behind Bagnaia and at the’exit of the slow corner between 3 and 4 Pecco gained three tenths only by raising the bike and opening the throttle”, he said after the Austrian Grand Prix.

“Our top speed è not è then so bad, but what is wrong è our acceleration. They have disproportionate grip, they seem to be from another category”.
