Grit, cards and goals (canceled) in Monza-Bologna
Monza-Bologna 0-0
Lots of grit between Monza and Bologna but no goals: 0-0 at the’U-Power.
It wasnè t a first half played at great pace but one cannot say that emotions were lacking, starting with the goal cancelled out to Dany Mota, who scored with a header but in an action vitiated by a millimeter offside. The Felsinians, well set up on the field, but with a Zirkzee too often isolated forward, had a great chance with Orsolini, on which Di Gregorio è saved great.
Returning from rest on 0-0 and without the coaches having made changes the protagonists immediately gave life to a more battle-like resumption. It’ was also Bologna’ s turn to have a goal cancelled (by Ferguson) for an earlier foul by Zirkzee on Caldirola, then the same Zirkzee called Di Gregorio to a not easy intervention, imitated shortly after by Dany Mota.
Thiago Motta, the Bologna coach, on the quarter d’hour of the second half, replaced four players at once. The former national team midfielder simultaneously sent Orsolini, Karlsson, De Silvestri and Lykogiannis to the showers, who gave way to Ndoye, Saelemaekers, Corazza and Kristiansen. Shortly afterwards, the Brianzoli coach Raffaele Palladino responded, limiting himself però to two simultaneous changes: Vignato and Birindelli took over from Dany Mota and Kyriakopoulos. Space, a few minutes later, also for Pablo Marì (out Andrea Carboni).
After a good chance for Vignato (under-goal deflection just to the side) more changes in both Bologna (Van Hooijdonk for Zirkzee) and Monza (in Maric and Machin, out Colombo and Colpani). In the final came cards in industrial quantities, even a red for the naive Saelemaekers, who blatantly applauded the referee after being cautioned. But the goal did not è come. 0-0.

Max Verstappen worried, Lewis Hamilton laughs it off
The words of Max Verstappen
Max Verstappen isn’t satisfied with Friday’s fifth time: “We’re a little bit too slow in the short runs and also in the race simulation, there’s a lot of work to do. At the moment there’è no immediate way to improve the situation, but we will look at it in detail”.
“For now we are simply too slow, that’s it. This performance is not è a big surprise: we are where we were in the last few races. We will try to find moreù performance for Sunday”, concluded his analysis the home driver, definitely worried.
In a different mood Lewis Hamilton: ““We finally have a car that allows us to start already on Friday from a good base and then work on the details. That makes everything easier and more enjoyable. We have to improve on pure performance. As for the pace over distance, I don’t know yet. We are not the fastest, but maybe we can play it”.
